Corteiz, a brand that continuously manages to capture the attention of the worldwide youth, is partnering up with Nike to deliver a pair of Air Max 95. After beaming the Corteiz and Swoosh logo onto the outside wall of Nike Town London like some sort of DC Comic-esque bat signal, then hosting a crossbar challenge event where you could clutch a free pair, owner @clint419 is making sure the roll out on these isn’t anything other than entertaining.
To nobody’s surprise, the shoes dropped on the Corteiz website on Friday the 10th of March at 7PM only to sell out within minutes. With our Instagram W-to-L slider leaning heavily towards the L side of things, it was clear that there was way more demand than availability,at least in terms of this website audience. Of course, no one thought copping a pair would be easy, but it looks like there might be a lot more people trying to catch that ‘delayed W’ than originally expected.
Prices on resale platforms currently have the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 going for over double its retail value. Now if you’re not keen on forking out that kind of money, where does that leave you? With the crossbar challenge done and dusted, as well as the Corteiz website drop out of the way, fans of the brand are certainly left wondering what’s next. Owner Clint took to his Twitter to announce “The crep will not be seeing SNKRS”, which may at first seem disheartening, yet doesn’t rule out future Nike-related drops.
Rumours are starting to circulate around a possible Nike release, however, whether this will be an event, shock drop or even sneaker scavenge is still unclear.
